Nate Safford

Nate Safford is an Army Foreign Area Officer and graduate student in the Master of International Policy and Practice program at the Elliott School. He received his Bachelor of Science in International History from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Nate has served in various operational and leadership positions, most recently at the U.S. Embassy in Panama.

His current research focuses on Institutional Capacity Building and U.S. Security Cooperation in the Western Hemisphere. As a Student Association Senator, his focus is promoting the representation and interests of International Affairs, Graduate, and Mid-Career students at GW.
